What does credit monitoring have to do with identity theft? It has everything to do with it. If someone tries to open new credit accounts or lines of credit in your name, it will show up on one (if not all) of your credit reports. If it does, we'll send you an alert.
Cover Your Numbers. Internet Scan.
We'll scan the Internet, including chat rooms, to make sure no one is using your Social Security number, credit or debit card numbers without your knowledge. If they do, we'll send you an alert so you can take appropriate action to put a stop to it.
Watch the Mail. Change of Address Monitoring
We also offer Change of Address alerts obrtained via the change of address file supplied by the United States Postal Service®** or your various creditors, so if someone tries to steal your identity by redirecting your mail to a new address, you'll know about it right away.

If your credit or debit cards are ever lost, stolen or misused without your authorization, you can call McAfee Identity Protection and we'll help you cancel them and order new ones.
